How it all Began

Judson V. Bennett (1947-2014)

The company began many years ago, way back in the 1970s.

Judson V. Bennett graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1971 with a degree in Forest Management and returned to northern New Jersey to pursue a career in forestry in the late 1970s. He started out felling trees as a logger and gradually began to grow a private consulting forestry practice in Sussex and Warren counties. By the early 1990s, he had a significant group of landowners who had entrusted the forest management responsibilities of their properties to him. Judson served them faithfully until his death in August of 2014. At the time of his death, he had grown his practice to include more than 350 different properties represented by more than 300 landowners. To his clients, Judson was their friend first…and their forester second. Judson was husband to his wife Deanna for over 40 years and had four children (Joshua, Andrew, Miriam, and Nathan)

Thanks to the foundation Judson formed the business on, we’re able to take on many projects each year!
